🦍High Zinc Foods To Increase Testosterone: Beef vs Chicken

If you answered Beef, you are correct.



The RDA for zinc is 11 mg per day for men (PMID: 16632171).

Unfortunately, most men need significantly more than this, with some needing up to 50-100 mg a day due to our high phytate diets (PMID: 19022958).

Beef, depending on the cut, can have anywhere from 6 to 12 mg of Zinc per 100 grams (or 3.5 ounces). (Source: USDA)

Chicken breast on the other hand, has only around 1 mg of Zinc per 100 grams (Source: USDA)

Beef therefore has up to 12 times more zinc than chicken breast, on a pound for pound basis.

So in short, stop wasting your money on chicken breast. Contrary to what most roided up bodybuilders and influencers (who don’t need to produce Testosterone endogenously) tell you, it is an inferior protein source for male performance and health.
